Manton for sale
Made by John Manton in 1803 and has 30 ins barrels marked Manton
London in gold, it is 20 bore and has a cheek piece, it is a flintlock
converted to caplock and the escutcheon is marked HRC and is in good condition.
This shotgun has fantastic balance and workmanship and was the
"Purdey" of its day.
This gun is recorded on
page 49 serial number 4110 of "The Manton Supplement" by W
Keith Neal and DHL Back printed in 1978, the owner then was E Robbins. The gun
was purchased from his estate.
